Professional Wrestler | Mixed Martial Arts Fighter

ABOUT

WARRIOR

Nick Brashear started his Professional Wrestling career on May 23rd, 1999 in Cleveland, OH when he was still just 17 years old. Nick had not been formally trained yet. Nick would appear on shows for “Extreme Futuristic Wrestling” from 1999 until 2001. Being on these events is where Nick met his first coach/trainer in professional wrestling JT Lightning. In the summer of 2001 Nick enrolled into the Cleveland All Pro Wrestling school and was formally trained. In September of 2001 Nick began wrestling as a trained professional.

While appearing locally in Cleveland, OH, Nick started to branch outside of the city and in 2004 relocated to Rochester, MI. Nick found the Blue Water Championship Wrestling school ran by promoter Andrew D’Arcy. Nick then started to train at BWCW under his second trainer Andrew.

In 2005, Nick moved back to Cleveland, OH and he also co-founded Absolute Intense Wrestling. Nick would promote and wrestle on the AIW shows. In 2009, Nick yearned for a different type of competition. Enter, Mixed Martial Arts and Grandmaster John Kim.

After training for a year in Mixed Martial Arts on September 4th, 2010 Nick debuted in MMA by winning his first fight submitting his opponent with a keylock submission (the official record says strikes but Nick had a keylock locked in). Over the course of 8 years Nick would fight in 10 bouts. 9 in the amateur ranks and 1 as a professional. As an amateur he was 8-0 (1 no contest) with 3 titles in the Super Heavyweight division. In 2018 he fought in his first and only professional bout taking a unanimous decision victory.

Post MMA Nick continued to train and sought to earn a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and started traditional classes under Gracie Black Belt Darren Branch. When Darren relocated to Las Vegas, NV to continue his coaching career Nick then found North Coast Jiu-Jitsu club, a Pedro Sauer affiliated school. He earned his blue belt. Nick then started competing in the Fight 2 Win series events but unfortunately injured his knee which required surgery and took a lot of time away from training and competition. Nick then started training with different schools until landing at Grindstone Jiu-Jitsu but another injury requiring surgery has Nick rehabbing. Nick is dedicated to continue to learn the art and earn that black belt no matter the time table.

All while training, Nick co-founded Extreme Fight World with long time friend Justin Beavers and Jason Hinkle in 2019. While it took some time to put on events, they were working behind the scenes getting everything in order to put on quality live events. The COVID pandemic also slowed things down. Fast forward to 2026 EFW has been reborn and rebranded into Extreme Fight World and has been putting on regular events since.
